Southend Energy was started by Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, in partnership with Robin Hood Energy, to supply energy as cheaply as possible to the people of Southend and Essex. We do not pay shareholder dividends or directors’ bonuses so any profits go back supporting people in our community and keeping prices low.
Profit is not the driving force behind Southend Energy, lowering energy bills, reducing fuel poverty and helping vulnerable people is. We know that a lot of people are struggling to pay their energy bills and Southend Energy is a practical way to help reduce gas and electricity bills and make sure people can afford to warm their homes.
Our energy is supplied by Robin Hood Energy, a not-for-profit energy supplier wholly owned by Nottingham City Council. Robin Hood Energy shares our ethos and wants to help people get the very best energy deals.
